I don’t know what you’re dealing with right now in life, marriage, or work, but I do know the answer: God is BIGGER!
God is Bigger
I know of a woman who, at this very moment, is dealing with a broken marriage. Her husband of many years is filing for divorce. She wants to save her marriage but right now feels helpless. I know the answer to her problem.
I also know of a man who has been dealing with significant health problems for many years now. It has negatively impacted his career, his marriage, his parenting, and his desire to be active at church. The answer to his problems is the same for him as it is for the woman mentioned above.
What’s the answer?
ANSWER: God is BIGGER.
No, it’s not meant to sound corny. It’s meant to sound biblical.
Yes, biblical.
God is not small, he doesn’t do small things for all things to him are equally easy, and yet our faith is often too small. Way to small. We forget how BIG God is and we fail to maintain our faith in God’s awesome power to do anything and all things as he desires.
God is Still Bigger
Answer these two questions right now (about any problem you’re dealing with in life):
- How small is your faith in God to answer your prayers?
- How BIG is the God you truly, truly, truly believe in?
We Christians will often be quick to declare our theological assurance in a BIG God, but by our deeds we deny him that omnipotent significance. We claim that God is a God who hears and answers prayers, yet we rarely ask him of anything. And when we do pray, we pray with ceasing, rather than unceasing prayer.
The answer that “God is BIGGER” is the answer to any and every problem this world throws at you.
God is Always Bigger
- Marriage is on the rocks? God is BIGGER. Don’t ever lose hope and don’t ever stop praying!
- Have a child who is going astray? God is BIGGER. Don’t ever lose hope and don’t ever stop praying!
- Just lost your job? God is BIGGER. Don’t ever lose hope and don’t ever stop praying!
- Got cancer? God is BIGGER. Don’t ever lose hope and don’t ever stop praying!
- Struggling with depression? God is BIGGER. Don’t ever lose hope and don’t ever stop praying!
- Not sure what to do with your life? God is BIGGER. Don’t ever lose hope and don’t ever stop praying!
Please understand that I’m not trying to belittle or diminish the importance of the trials you are going through in life. You may be dealing with something in life right now that is so overwhelming no one on planet Earth could ever understand.
But God understands. And God is the answer. God is BIGGER.
I’m not saying your problems are small; I’m simply reminding you that God is BIGGER.
God is BIGGER than cancer? Yes, God is much BIGGER. And greater too!
God is BIGGER than your depression? Yes, God is much BIGGER. And greater too!
Believe in God’s Bigness
I pray that you will have your faith increased by a BIG God, who is the God of holy Scripture. I pray that, even though your faith seems about as small as a mustard seed right now, you’ll soon understand God is able to do more than you could ever imagine possible.
God is BIG.
In fact, God is BIGGER!
I don’t know what you’re dealing with right now in life, marriage, or work, but I do know the answer: God is BIGGER!

Sometimes we need to be reminded, we focus on the problem and not on the God who is bigger, thanks for sharing!
Charles Specht says
Yes, I need that reminder too at times. God is Big, Bigger, Biggest. Let’s not forget that marvelous truth!

Signing divorce papers Monday. I know God is bigger. But in the face of divorce it’s hard to see. My heart is broken. I barely breathe.
Charles says
Even if the papers do get signed, God can still work amazing things in, around, and through it all. Keep praying! Don’t lose faith, even if you can’t see light at the end of the tunnel.

Separated for 6 months from my husband. We are both believers but he has walked away from God. No longer wishes to be married. I am praying for reconciliation. though he has not filed, he has yet to have any change of heart toward reconciliation. My 14 year old daughter is hurt as am I. I keep praying that God is bigger than this….
Charles Specht says
I’m sorry to hear this, Jennifer. Are you getting good support and prayer from your church family?
Don’t give up! God is able to do more than we think, and God is still working in your husband’s heart, even if it isn’t apparent externally.
I pray that you and your daughter will be encouraged in the Lord. God bless.

Repetition, of God’s word is needed daily, to shine on us in a dark world. I know God is Bigger than the valley I’m walking thru, but to hear it and read it, propels me forward … Thank you Charles for reminding me God is Bigger.

I have been separated from my husband for nearly 3 years out of a 30 year marriage. I have prayed unceasingly every night for the healing and restoration of my marriage and for my husbands heart to be turned from stone to flesh. In spite of the encouragement of postponed court dates and delays in reaching the final settlement sadly the divorce become final this week. I wear the armor of God and what should have felt like a huge blow really just bounced off me with only a little pain. I think God wants to end the old and give us an entirely new beginning. God takes something meant for evil and turns it into something good. I have to keep my eyes upward and not on my circumstances. When I get weary and start to lose faith God always reaches down and picks me up and sets me back on my feet. I wait in faith and trust in God’s perfect plan and timing that he will give me my miracle. I let go and let God and let Him drive and work out all the details. There is no other way.

After 40 years of marriage and a retirement relocation, I learned my husband was in a three-year adulterous relationship with a much younger woman. He abandoned me and filed for divorce. That was two years ago. I also learned he squandered a great deal of money on her and I am barely getting by. Three depositions due in two weeks then pretrial and final. I pray every day that God will soften husbands heart and restore our marriage. Make it better than it was before. I know God is never late. I know His Word does not go out and return but accomplished what He says it will. I know He hates divorce and that He will resurrect my marriage. God is in the miracle and second chance business. I cry every day but God will send me the prodigal husband. I am standing for my marriage. This I ask and expect because I briefed in God and I believe God. Pray with me and pray for me. In Jesus name. Amen. Amen.
