Fellowship isn’t just something Christians do. It is something that “is.”
Fellowship has substance and relevance and meaning, and is to be ever present-tense in the life of a believer.
Fellowshipping with likeminded believers is not something to put off, or to push the *pause button* on until COVID is finally done (once and for all). Moreover, it’s not right — spiritually — to forfeit *in-person* services just because it’s easier to stay home in your comfy pajamas and watch a livestream worship service.
(It’s just not the same as being there in-person, no matter how good the video quality is.)
Fellowship is a most blessed COMMAND for all believers in Jesus Christ. It’s God’ will for your life!
If you’re able to go to church, then you need to go fellowship with your brothers and sisters! They need you and you need them.
That’s why it is called “fellowship.”
——-
42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
