The people of God are people who give their resources back to God and His people. At least they’re supposed to be.
Everything you have ever received comes down from your heavenly Father, and so God wants you to be marked as a person who gives.
Question: Are you a giving person?
Writing about the many churches throughout Macedonia, the apostle Paul boasted that they were an extremely giving bunch of saints.
“For I testify that according to their ability, and beyond their ability, they gave of their own accord, begging us with much urging for the favor of participation in the support of the saints, and this, not as we had expected, but they first gave themselves to the Lord and to us by the will of God” (2 Corinthians 8:3-5; underline mine).
God’s will for you is to labor in giving of yourself, your time, your resources, so that others would be blessed and God would be glorified. How have you been doing with that lately?
Question: What can you give and who do you know in need that you could give something to right now? Tell us all about it in the comment section below.
