Do you love the Lord Jesus Christ? Do you bless God and desire to be blessed by him? I hope that you do, for that is the absolute best way to live your life.
Any life that is lived sold-out for Jesus Christ is a life well-lived.
Here is a short video I created a couple of days ago. It is my first video in–Lord willing–what will become a long list of “Motivational Moments” from the Scripture.
You Are Blessed By God
This is the first Motivational Moment from Scripture. It has to do with our blessed God who has blessed us with spiritual blessings. In fact, the truths of this Motivational Moment come directly from Ephesians 1:3, which says,
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ” (Ephesians 1:3)

Motivational Moment #001: You Are Blessed By God
Hey everybody! My name is Charles Specht and welcome to another Motivational Moment that we find from God’s Holy Scripture.
There’s a verse, verse three from Ephesians chapter 1, and it says, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.”
I want you to first understand that in this short verse there are three times in which the word “blessed” comes into place.
- One time is talks about God who is alone to be blessed.
- Another time a talks about that He is blessing us right now.
- And then a third time it talks about every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.
I don’t know what you’re going through in life but if you love the Lord Jesus Christ, right now–at this very moment–God is continually and presently blessing you with not just many spiritual blessings–not even some spiritual blessings–but with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.
That alone is why he’s worthy.
That’s why he ought to be blessed by you, someone who loves the Lord Jesus Christ.
You’ll be blessing God every single day.
He’s worthy–alone worth–singularly worthy–to have your worship and your praise and your adoration and to be blessed. So he is blessing you with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
Again, I don’t know what you’re going through in life. You may be struggling right now at things in your marriage, or with your family, or in your parenting.
Right now you might not really know what’s going on with your job or your career, or you’re having a difficult time paying your bills. But please remember this moment, this life, is a vapor. It comes and goes. But God still has his hand of protection on you.
He’s blessing you. He is preparing to bless you more and more each and every day.
But most importantly, God is blessing you for something that is coming after this life: Every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
You might be going through a moment of struggle, but God has already been victorious.
Please don’t ever forget that. Don’t ever forget the motivation that God has given to us in Scripture: to continually live our lives–every single day–for His glory.
Let every word, thought, and deed that comes out of you just pour into a blessing and adoration.

Hi Charles,
I accept the blessings and I praise God for when we have Jesus, we are blessed no matter what.
I have to add though that with disobedience comes blessing. It’s very important to heed God’s voice.
Thanks for this Motivational Moment.
God bless you, too!

I so enjoy your comments. Some of them go over my head though. I believe you will remember me from Westwood Baptist Church. I have copd and am on oxygen 24/7. I am going thru tough times with my health and have just been diagnosed with lung cancer. I’m not complaining, just stating facts, but I cling to Christ my Savior to help me get thru this. I am scared but will just go day by day. I covet your prayers and those of anyone else who is willing. Love in Christ Jesus.
